Ultimate Innovation: Meebo Ads File Transfer Between IM Clients!

Who on earth reading this article has been spared of chatting? I am sure none. And many of you all must have also sent files over there respective IM (Instant Messaging) clients like Yahoo, GTalk, MSN etc. The only problem which I face while transferring files over chatting clients is that one has to use Yahoo to send files over other user using Yahoo itself.

Meebo has come up with ultimate breakthrough where you can send files to your friends on or off Meebo, regardless of if the IM client which your friend is using. The Meebo blog says:

You’ll notice that there’s a new bright and shiny button on the IM window toolbar (the white square with the swanky green arrow). We’ve tried to make the whole transfer process as easy as we could, so all you have to do is click a button and upload a file. The receiver on the other end will get a link to click on (similar to a meebo rooms invite) and all they have to do is click and accept. We’re only allowing meebo account holders to send files, but anyone can receive… even your friends who are not on meebo (but should be =p). We’re not quite supporting this feature in Safari yet, but hopefully soon!

So its time to start chatting without thinking of the compatibility issues!

I had heard of Meebo before. Didnt know it was a full fledged IM service though. Hopefully this works better than the Kazoo thing I downloaded for the same purposes. It’s no good on my computer. =S
