She Is 108 And Still Blogging. Were You Planning To Give Up Blogging? Think Again!

This should be the ultimate dose of inspiration for all the bloggers around (including me!) who sometimes think that should they leave blogging? Olive Riley, who will reach her 108th birthday in October, is the Internets oldest blogger. She blogs, with the help of her good friend Mike Rubbo, at The Life of Riley. Visit the blog and you will feel the passion burning.

Blogging is fun if one actually feels it.

Some may say it is the passion which forced you to start a blog, but I think it the other way. You developed the passion and now you love to live the passion. Initially there wasn’t any passion.

We all start as newbie bloggers who knows nothing about blogging and slowly as time passes, if one clings to it, than he/she turns out to be a ‘real’ blogger.

Take the example of the game of rugby. There must have been a moment when you knew nothing about rugby and you were there guessing why the heck are these fellows running behind “the so called ball” which does not look like a ball! But you still watched the game regularly, may be because your dad watches it daily or whatever the reason be, and you developed the passion for the game to an intensity that now you prefer rugby over school.

So it wasn’t your passion which derived you to enjoy the game but you developed the passion and now you are living the passion. Same is the case with blogging. Develop the passion for blogging and then live the passion and I am sure the you wont give up blogging till the age of 150….umm or a little less may be ;)

That was my shortest blogging tip I guess!

I wont completely disagree what u have said, but even in many cases, when u think y ppl come to blog is every one have something to say. usually they wont find th right set f like minded ppl to share that. ( means u may have many frends, but when u like business or tech or comp, it is not necessary that all your frends shld have the same mind set to discuss)

so there alwys be a gap and every one have their own story to say. this medium brings in like minded ppl together without much effort. why it turns out to be a passion is, when some one encourages to do something, its abvious that u will like doing that and u willput in more effort. its like that!!

so no one will be there saying, ‘to start a blog is my passion/ thats y u see lot of ppl start a blog to share things and after few weeks or months they leave that and go.

why will I take that in any wrong sense dude. I was in that same stage where you are currently some time back.

Well, whatever you said was true and to be frank you did teach me one good reason why people blog and then leave blogging after some time period.

And dear I did take a look at your blog and your English doesn’t seems to be that messed up as it was in that comment. You know commenting on others blogs is a good idea and I suggest you to continue that. You will surely develop a good friend circle and good regular readers for your blog.

1 more suggestion. Try and be professional with blogging. You can surely develop this as your source of side income. I am sure you would love some extra bucks! ;)
