Make XP Taskbar Transparent

Transbar is the tiny little application for those who are looking for an easy way to add some transparency to there windows XP taskbar. This could be used in situations where you have an “extra cool wallpaper” on your desktop and you think the taskbar is stealing away its beauty.
Weighing just 88kb this tool helps you add transparency to your windows XP taskbar with just few clicks. But for our Windows Vista users, this application is not required considering Windows Vista installation already supports the Aero Glass which not only makes your Taskbar semi-transparent but it also blurs the background a bit.
This might not be a tool with loads of features but its ‘tiny little time consuming’ feature gives your taskbar an attractive look.

i cant seem to get the program to run on startup! everytime i tick the box
and i re-open the application, the box is always unchecked. same as if i log of and back on it never runs because the box will automatically uncheck itself when i press “OK” or close
help?
I don’t know why is this happening..
it works fine for my friends. That is the reason why I wrote about it here
There is one problem: it makes transparent not the taskbar, but the objects on it. Just like Nvidia nView Desktop Manager (it’s included in the driver).
I’m still looking for the transparent-taskbar-only-not-the-objects-on-it application.
I mean it makes both the taskbar and the objects on it transparent and i don’t want transparent icons. They are hard to see.
Awesome man!!!!!
Great little app but I do have one thing I do not like.
Keep the icons from being affected by the app.
I do not like the fact that the icons also go transparent.
All in all I love the app.
ditto everyone elses comments, on my Macbook the taskbar absorbs whatever the wallpaper is as a built in feature and none of the objects on it are affected.
It shouldn't be hard for PC, if the taskbar can be assigned colours it can be assigned a transparency value.
You should try ViGlance if you are having probs.
Does the same thing except that you can still see stuff thats on it. http://www.lee-soft.com/viglance/
It is mainly for bringing win7 superbar but you can still change it to how you want it.
so you do not have to have the win7 start orb or small open program buttons if you do not want to.

I have just installed this app and i see what alot of you mean, that the stuff goes invisable but i do not mind having the objects a little transparent.
Thank you
