Firefox Tip: Select Any Tab Using Keyboard Keys

Opening different tabs in firefox within one window is a time saving feature provided by mozilla firefox. But for most of you who like to open many tabs at one time, also include me in that list, it is rather a headache to use the mouse to select different tabs. To help you with this, here I present many HotKeys in firefox which could be used to select respective tabs without using the mouse.

  • Ctrl + Tab: Using these keys you can navigate between different tabs one-by-one which are already open within one window.
  • Ctrl + 1: This will always select the leftmost tab.
  • Ctrl + 2-8: These will select each of the tabs in order from left to right.
  • Ctrl + 9: This will always select the rightmost tab.
