CompuFun: Do You Know Who Is Your Father?

“This, Ladies and Gentlemen is the world’s first thinking computer which will answer your queries in a flash!”

Curiously a hand came up from between the people present at the occasion and with a tricky question.

“Where is my father?” the man asked.

The computer first produced all kinds of sounds it could with lots of light bulbs flashing (which the machine makers usually use to impress customers) and after the sound of age old dot matrix printer printing something came out a slip from the computer.

It read “Gambling in LasVegas!”.

The man smiled and said “My father is dead”.

The computer had been tricked. The sales manager, who had been appointed to deal with such tricky situations, apologized for the wrong answer and asked the man to rephrase the question and give it another try.

The man thought for a moment and once again said into the computer’s microphone, “Where is my mother’s husband?”

Again with the same sounds came out the printed slip and this time it said “Dead. But your father is still gambling in LA!”
