Do Programs Still Exist In Add/Remove Programs Window Even When You Uninstalled Them? Here Is How To Delete That Entry

It is often the case that when you un-install some software its name dose not get deleted from the “Add/Remove Programs” Window. It will not hurt your computers performance but I am sure you will like to remove the unwanted name from that list. Here is how to do that:

Open the registry editor. (Click on start > Run and in the run window type regedit and hit enter.)

Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Ininstall. You will find the entries related to the uninstalled program in the right pane. Just delete them.

I will always prefer doing such work manually instead of using a spftware. If you can edit registry manually then why take the risk of using a software which edits your registry?

by the way thank you for your comments on my various articles..
