Rename Images From Digital Camera To Some Meaningful Format

Usually the images of a digital camera are recorded in EXIF format. This format is responsible to append time and date to the image. NameEXIF will rename these photos according to date and you can even add your unique identifier to these. Like if all the images are of your school then you can add the identifier school with every file name. The file name changes to more familiar format then the usual “img_0512″ etc.

And all this happens with just one click!

  1. Renaming a cluster of files is as simple as 1-2-3. If there are a junk of photos that were clicked for a particular occasion, say John’s Birthday, select all files (Ctrl+A) > right click on one of the files > rename > type Johns Birthday > hit Enter. Now all the files will inherit the same name in numerical series…Johns Birthday1, Johns Birthday2 and so on.
