Troubleshoot Firefox By Creating New Profile

A couple of days back I suggested you to start Firefox in safe mode. This way you can guess if your current Firefox profile is the reason behind Firefox not running properly. If after running Firefox in safe mode you found that it was running properly then you might try creating a new profile to use Firefox.

Make sure that Firefox isn’t running (not even in background) and once you are rest assured of this then open Run from Start menu. In the Run dialog box type:

firefox.exe -profilemanager

You will be presented with Firefox Choose Your Profile window as shown in image below.

Creating a new profile will give you a fresh looking Firefox. Now you can export your bookmarks from old profile and import them in new profile.

Do check our three more methods to troubleshoot firefox problems: method one, method two, and method three.
