For the last couple of weeks I have mostly been concentrating on firefox tricks or Google Chrome tricks. Although I did cover tips tricks and hacks from other sections too but most of my emphasis was on FireFox And Google Chrome.
I kept feeling that I need to include articles for Windows XP users too and hence the coming weeks will include lots of Windows XP registry tweaks that will make your life heaven. This was just a short notice that from coming Monday you will see CompuWorld talking about XP tricks madly enough. So, please don’t be surprised. I am just trying to balance the categories.

Well, webmasters strive for Google SiteLinks for their websites and here I am who received SiteLinks for this blog but unfortunately I had to block those! Recently I changed the category structure of this blog (for my ease) after I had upgraded from a real old version of wordpress to the latest version. I was very excited with the fresh looking wordpress dashboard and the new category structure which I always dreamt of but had no guts to apply considering the size of this blog.
Today, out of the blue I searched for keyword ‘nofullstop’ in Google and what I saw first excited me and after a second killed all the excitement.

What I saw can be seen above. I had received 5 SiteLinks for various categories of my blog which now don’t exist. I am beating myself for changing the category structure. I had to block all the 5 SiteLinks using Google Webmasters so that people don’t stumble on pages which don’t exist but it was a hard decision.
I wish I could replace those links with the latest category links

Well, it has been almost a week when I last blogged anything on CompuWorld. Some of my regular readers might have been thinking where I was (although they didn’t get the time to leave a comment showing their concern). I know they are concerned as my feedburner account shows how daily the latest post was being visited again and again by my feed readers.
Somehow my locality has been suffering from power problems to its extreme. Due to some unknown fault (which is of course known by now) we were getting only 4 hrs a day of electricity and hence I couldn’t get the time to write posts on my blog.
Many times I had to run to the Internet cafe as I am a freelance writer too and who would want to turn down work from old clients?
Seems like everything is back to normal but as weekend is already approaching so I will now start the normal posting schedule from coming Monday. Hopefully bad days are over. Bear with me please.

I guess I said it all with the lengthy post title above. As I pointed out in my other post that I hadn’t updated wordpress in last 10 months or so and was very afraid of updating it after such a long gap. DreamHost’s one click upgrade helped me upgrade my wordpress without any problems and the fresh looking wordpress 2.6.1 filled me up with energy which I hadn’t ever felt before.
As a result I made up my mind to take up the pending job of changing the categories so as to divide the various posts in proper manner. Well, it did take couple hours but the end result is awesome. I have a totally new category system (as well as tagging system) for my blog which I always dreamt of. Let me leave a short description of various categories.
- Books - All articles which talk about books go under this category.
- Bugs Found - The old bugs found category has new sub-categories under so that I will be able to divide various bugs found articles under them.
- CompuWorld - Till now various articles which were related with this blog itself were published under blogging category but now all such articles have their own category. The CompuWorld category.
- Contest - Although my last contest was a disaster still I haven’t given up hope and I will be launching contests in the time to come. So the contest category remains intact.
- Entertainment - The old entertainment category has two sub-categories so that I can clasify various articles with ease.
- Fun - Weekly dose of fun won’t ever stop so the fun category hasn’t been deleted.
- General - Articles which cannot be named as news articles nor can be counted as tips will come under general category with various sub-categories to divide those articles.
- List Articles - Three list type articles of CompuWorld have gained fame in the blogging world (48 Font Websites, 10 Social Networking Websites Only For Moms, 15 File Converters) and hence now we have separate category for them. Watch this space for many more collections.
- Making of - This category hasn’t been deleted even though I could only write up one article for it in last one year. I have plans to fill this up with many more articles and will surely strive to write few more.
- News - As the name says news category will have various news articles under various sub-categories.
- Tips Tricks and Hacks - The very famous CompuWorld category tips tricks and hacks now has many sub categories so as to properly divide the articles.
- Tools - Well, the most desired category for this blog as till now I wasn’t able to categorize tools articles with tips tricks hacks articles. Now I will be able to categorize these too. This category has offline tools and online tools sub-category to divide various tools articles.
Tips Tricks and Hacks category and Tools category is a must watch for all readers as these are the places where the most juicy articles will regularly be published. Others are kinda slow categories.
As you might have guessed this article goes under CompuWorld category
I won’t be publishing the Friday Fun article this Friday as I want this article to stay on top for next few days. I have worked hard man!

It has been time since I checked Alexa ranking of mine but recently when Darren announced the change in Alexa ranking system than just for a routine I switched to Alexa to check my current traffic ranking. Something pleasing was that finally I am on the traffic graph of Alexa! Until now Alexa used to show traffic graph for some top blogs (don’t remember the exact number) but now after the overhaul mentally it seems to be good. At least I am their on that graph even though I do not exactly understand what it means? It says my 3 months change in ranking is 19,588. Good enough?
Will someone explain?
