A couple of days back I suggested you to start Firefox in safe mode. This way you can guess if your current Firefox profile is the reason behind Firefox creating not running properly. If after running Firefox in safe mode you found that it was running properly then you might try creating a new profile to use Firefox.
Make sure that Firefox isn’t running (not even in background) and once you are rest assured of this then open Run from Start menu. In the Run dialog box type:
firefox.exe -profilemanager
You will be presented with Firefox Choose Your Profile window as shown in image below.

Creating a new profile will give you a fresh looking Firefox. Now you can export your bookmarks from old profile and import them in new profile.

Did running Firefox in safe mode didn’t help you and clearing cache didn’t improve any conditions? Well, there is one more way out which might help your Firefox run smoothly. Many times changing the compatibility of Firefox might help your Firefox face least problems.

Right click on Firefox shortcut and click on properties. Set compatibility mode back to Windows 2000. This might actually solve your problems. Try it!

Yesterday you learned how one can troubleshoot firefox by starting it in safe mode. If the safe mode problem somehow didn’t work for you then here I will teach you how your Firefox can come back to normal just by clearing your cache.
Many times your download history might get corrupted and as a result Firefox starts behaving awkwardly. Open Clear Private Data from the Tools Menu and clear off all the scrap material with just one click

This is one of the smoothest ways to bring Firefox back to normal state. Try it if your firefox is crashing regularly.
If you still suffering from crashing problems then try opening your Firefox in compatibility mode.

Firefox is my favorite browser and no doubt it is one of the most talked about free applications which ever existed in Internet. But mostly in this limelight the problems of Firefox crashing regularly for many users gets buried somewhere. This week I will try to compile a couple of ways which one can use to check why their Firefox crashes and what is the solution.
Start your Firefox in safe mode. The safe mode option is available in Start Menu > Mozilla Firefox. See the image below.

You can also use the command line to start Firefox in safe mode:
firefox.exe -safe-mode
Now use Firefox in safe mode for sometime and compare the working of safe mode execution with the regular working of Firefox from which you have been suffering. If Firefox isn’t crashing now then you can be rest assured that you have a problem with these:
- Profiles – Try and delete the current profiles and work with new profiles.
- Extensions installed – There is a chance that the extensions installed with your Firefox are creating problems. This happens when you update your Firefox with a new version.
- Plugins – Remove each plugin one by one and then run Firefox in normal mode. You will soon get an idea which plugin is creating problems if some plugin was actually the nuisance.
- Settings – There is a chance that your personal settings in Firefox are a reason why your Firefox is crashing. Once you update your Firefox then this downside pops up and Firefox starts crashing.
If safe mode didn’t solve your problem then try clearing your cache or run Firefox in compatibility mode.
