You must not confuse this with an image recognition program! Wonder if you search for similar images just by right clicking on that particular image. Well, Google has launched a chrome extension (also available for FireFox) to perform the similar task.

Once you install the chrome extension then all that you got to do is right click on any particular image and then click on “Search Google with this image”. Please be aware that Google will use the name of that image to perform its search henceforth an image with a weird name might result in useless results.

Gmail keeps getting better. It is not just the interface of Gmail but the unique features of the same that make it the best inbox on the Internet. From drag & drop for attachments to using multiple accounts from single browser (officially!) Gmail has continuously been rolling out some of the features which are a distant dream for other mailing services. Appending to its list of amazing features Gmail recently (and very silently) rolled out Priority Inbox which by far is the best Gmail feature that has been made available till now. Recently I have been very busy handling multiple assignments that I have taken up and I hardly received the time to mark emails as spam or delete the unwanted ones. This is when Gmail’s Priority Inbox has proved to be a boon for me.

In your inbox click on New! Priority Inbox from the right top corner and mark the mails that you think are important as priority. Submit the request and from now on you see your inbox divided into two different parts. Above the fold will be the mails that you marked as priority and below the fold will be mails below priority. Though this does not sound as overly geeky but it surely helps when you seem to be getting plenty of mails.

GMail keeps popping in news every now and then and it has done it again. GMail has officially introduced another best GMail feature using which one can use multiple accounts at a time from the same browser. Once this feature is turned on then you will be able to login to two or more different GMail accounts from one single browser without having to sign out from the other account. Running two GMail accounts simultaneously isn’t a hassle now.

All that you got to do is turn on multiple sign-in from your accounts page and you are good to go.

Click on Settings link on the top right corner from your GMail page.

Click on Accounts and Import tab.

From the Change account settings click on Google Account settings.

A new page opens up where you can turn on/off the Multiple sign in feature.

Four important features on Multiple sing-in that one must understand are listed below:

The account you’re currently using is displayed at the top of most Google product pages, or at the bottom of most pages on mobile devices. Always check to make sure you’re using the account you want.

Not all Google products support multiple sign-in. When switching between Google products, the account you’re currently using may change.

Google products not listed above will default to the first account that you signed in to using your current web browser session.

Offline Mail and Offline Calendar will be disabled. You may lose any unsent mail.

Remember, that to sign into your second account from the same browser you cannot just go to www.gmail.com in another tab (or window) and sign in to the other account. You will again have to head towards the settings page and click on Sign in to another account. . . so that you can finally sign in to your second account. I have summarized the steps below the image to eradicate any confusions.

Click on Settings link on the top right corner from your GMail page.

Click on Accounts and Import tab.

From the Change account settings click on Google Account settings.

A new page opens up from where on the top right corner you will find the drop down menu that you see above.

Do check another best GMail feature – The drag and drop attachments.

Every Internet surfer has a Gmail account. You might not be using Yahoo!, Rediff or Hotmail but you got to use Gmail at least once. It is just because of the simplicity of Gmail and the numerable unique features that Gmail offers which makes it amazingly attractive. Recently added to its list of best Gmail features is the drag and drop feature for attachments.

From now on instead of clicking on the Download link and then providing a path where to save the attachment all that you got to do is drag your attachment to the place where you want it to be saved. One can already drag and drop a file into the Gmail mail so as to attach the file into that particular mail. This best Gmail feature was already saving plenty of time for Gmail users and now the vice versa feature that can help you drag and drop the Gmail attachment onto the destination folder to save it is another exciting best Gmail feature that everybody will love to use.

I don’t think that in near future any other emailing service will touch the neatness and cleanliness of Gmail. Just not possible!

How many times has it happened that you opened a website, found something important in it and thought of revisiting the page to read (or use) the same later on? Most of the times we do land up on the same website once again but we tend to forget whatever we had liked the last time when we had visited the same page. We tend to forget the thoughts (or ideas) that we had discovered due to that web page the last time we visited it. This is when the concept of sticky notes for windows pops in and works out well.

XSticky is a one happening Firefox add-on that helps you add a sticky note for windows to any part of the webpage. Once you later visit that page then you will find the same sticky note on the same position henceforth it will help you remember whatever had struck you the last time when you had visited the same page. This works out well on Firefox only. Download XSticky from Firefox here.

In case you are using Google’s Chrome then you can you this extension to add sticky notes from within the browser but you won’t be able to add sticky notes onto a webpage. The sticky node will be added on the browser level and it will be the same for any webpage that you will open. You can properly write down points that you think you might forget along with the respective URL but remember that a lot of data might become confusing so perform your cleanup at regular intervals.

This has been around for a while but hardly anybody is aware of this. Youtube videos can be made 3D (with the only downside that you got to have your 3D viewing glasses for the video to look 3D) by adding the tag ‘yt3d:enable=true’ in the tag field for your videos. Remember that 3D YouTube videos is the feature for videos that are uploaded by you as are the one who can edit tags of your video. Though the procedure to add the tag to your video is pretty simple yet I will underline them below so as to eradicate any kind of confusions.

Log into YouTube using your account and click on My Videos to see the list of videos that you have uploaded. If you haven’t uploaded any then upload one right away to test the 3D feature.

Click on Edit button next to the video that you want to turn as 3D.

Add the tag yt3d:enable=true in the tags field. You don’t have to separate the tags using comma so just separate this tag with others using a space.

Done! Watch the video and it will be all messed up! The idea is simple. As the video now has the 3D feature so it looks to be overlapped with multiple prints at a time. When you use your 3D glasses then you will actually enjoy the 3D experience.

Remember that those who don’t have 3D glasses will consider your video to be messed up so remember to upload one normal version of the same video for that class of viewers. You can check the rest of the 3D YouTube Videos here.

Well, frustrated of the silly discussion that pops up in the comments section of different videos of YouTube that have gone viral? You better switch to Google Chrome if you want to get rid of all the comments (which will include the comments in the videos that you have uploaded). This just not means that nobody can see those comments. Behind the curtains people will continue to pour in their silly comments but nothing will be displayed when you watch the same video in your Google Chrome. All that you have to do is install this small little Google Chrome Extension. Voila! No comments will show up once the installation is complete and you restart Google Chrome. You are free from all the clutter!

Is the above image quiet familiar for you? Are you amongst those users who regularly use Google Chrome due to the multiple features that it carries yet are frustrated due to its irresponsible behavior with some websites? And, does the below line seems familiar?

Oops! This link appears to be broken in Google Chrome

One way out is referring to the Support Page created by Google. It will ask you to refresh your cache, scan your system for silly malwares, and delete unwanted cookies. But, I am pretty sure that all this just won’t solve your problem. Once you are done experimenting with different Google suggested methods then I will request you to try playing with the internal Google Chrome settings.

See the checkbox inside the bright red oval in the image above? Well, that is the key to unlock your lock. Go to (see image below) Tools > Options (which is Preferences on Mac) > Under The Hood Tab and uncheck the checkbox next to “Use DNS pre-fetching to improve page load performance.” This will help Google Chrome load some of the websites that usually aren’t loaded and will also increase the website load time by very few microseconds (which you won’t notice).

Google Analytics might be a crazy tracking system for some webmasters but those who understand the basics of Google Analytics will be aware of the importance of Google Analytics for their blog/website. Polaris has created an awesome Google Analytics API using which you can enjoy the awesome Google Analytics report on your desktop on the fly. Polaris uses the freely available Adobe AIR so firstly you will have to install Adobe AIR for Polaris to start working.

Download Adobe AIR

Download Polaris

Once you are done downloading and installation of Adobe AIR and Polaris then all you need to do is study your Google Analytics Report from your desktop itself. Double click on the Polaris shortcut and you will be greeted with the medium sized Polaris Window which will ask for some of your details. Do opt for the free version as that is all what you will require. Once you are done with the basic info then you need to enter your Google Analytics login ID and password. Give this final detail and you will be greeted with the Google Analytics report for the very first website that is listed in your Google Analytics login account.

If you have multiple websites in your Google Analytics Login account and you want to get the Google Analytics report for the other website then just click on the currently shown website name as shown by the black arrow in the image above. You will be taken to the list of websites that you have listed in your Google Analytics account.

Select the website that you wish to track and click on select. Voila! You are now tracking another website which is listed in the same Google Analytics Login account. Enjoy the use of the Google Analytics API which will surely eat least time of yours. Lastly, if you have multiple Google Analytics Login accounts then you will have to pay the nominal fee of $15/year so as to use Polaris for multiple Google Analytics Login accounts.
